How many Spainish people are killed every year by not paying attention crossing roads or by Spanish drivers not respecting speed limits?
Personally I couldn't care less. If they want to act the maggot on some high rise and they fall from the tenth floor, it's their fault for being stupid and I for one wouldn't loose any sleep over it.
Maybe if the people in city hall aren't doing enough to help the sheeple of Spain then maybe next time around (election time) they should be voted out of office and install someone who cares about the locals. They've only themselves to blame, they voted them...

"Let the kids get fun", that's your opinion but it's the people here who decides.
The rules are similar in France or England, and I wouldn't defend an spanish who go there to make troubles. Somebody should expect that laws be enforced even when tourists bring money.

In the UK & France the local Taliban have their own set of rules and the PC brigade of both countries are to afraid to upset them and let them do what ever they want..

The truth is that Barcelona have been discussed several laws on "civic behavior" by which you can be fined for not wearing a shirt when you walk off the beach, for example.
However, these laws do little to prevent vandalism and other problems causing these protests.
For alcohol, the restrictions do not prevent mass drunkenness in certain events and ultimately throughout the year due to people coming for vacations. Spanish and non spanish together.
My opinion is that we who live here who have to solve these problems.

In this case the neighbours don't blame the tourists on a whim.
About vandalism, I didn't say that only the tourists do wrong. There are just some of them who adds more problems to ours.
The same preventions that in the international football matches should be adopted in some touristic destinations when too much people drinks too much.
If not, this could be a uncomfortable place for locals and many tourists.
Phoenix: Then how would the locals or the old man don the street who only goes into his bar for some company because his wife left him and his dog died.. What would he do? Sit alone in his flat or house?
Why don't the locales take their holidays during the simmer season and close the place down (including bars etc..) and there wont be any drunks..

Me too, but everybody knew that it was wrong and could have consequences.
I don't mind if some tourists thinks have the right or not to get fun at any cost, but something goes wrong when the economic interests of tourism is imposed over the common interest of the inhabitants.

I get what you say..but I probably done worse and I've lived to tell the tale. So it would be wrong for me to moralize..
