If you get any positive responses you'll know that men are doing the right thing

I doubt that many women will rave about how good men have treated them wave

Hi Felixis wave

Once only. My first and only true love.

It was the way in which he looked at me(not always lustfully, but lovingly), I felt "protected" and secure when I was with him. I can't quite explain that one....just felt safe and "looked after" in his company(we were young). He was never unkind. He always spoke to me as if I was truly wonderful. I felt his love. His last words to me(spoken on the phone): I love you. He was killed in a car accident 3 days later. I still have his framed photo. I have never felt so special in regards to being with a man, since.

Generally at the beginning of a meaningful relationship I have felt special, but, unfortunately it hasn't been consistent and has generally waned after the initial 3 month "in love" dizziness has gone...laugh

I am still in love with him, after all these years.

Hiya Felix wave My last LTR was with a man who treated me like a queen. Always considerate and a generous nature. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone but on one occassion, this turned out to be a bad decision that ended the relationship.

that is a very touching - sad but lovely story :)

I also have had the experience, more recently, of someone who made me truly feel special. It turned out he was making several women feel special lol

but that sort is not what I mean. Years ago, I had a friend who was POW/MIA in Vietnam who was like that...he was too old for me at the time (I was a minor)...but he always made me feel like time stopped, just for me when we were together. He encouraged my opinion and listened intently to it.rose teddybear

I can think of two and a third who usually made it a point to make me feel special - mostly coz he called a lot....it makes the times when I was with someone not like that seem like such a painful waste of time ....live and learn.....

so sorry to hear. it must have been serious if a relationship can end with one incident. I know you will treasure the good of it though :)wave

Yes, it is lovely when we are treated in such a very special way.

We never forget, do we.

For risk of sounding all weird, I have this feeling he is "waiting" for me...somewhere. I have sensed his presence in a spiritual way. He was part Maori and their culture can be and is very spiritual....so, perhaps a feeling of him watching over me.

Thank you for the kind words. We all deserve to be treated special, don't we. It is a lovely feeling indeed.

I'll always treasure the good but given that he put a friend's stag party ahead of my son's birthday party and lied to do it, kinda ruins the good part.
