In "Married at First Sight" couple are randomly picked, married and given a couple weeks to live together and at the end they can chose to continue the marriage or go on their way.
I think the show probably makes a mockery of " Western Marriage" where people fall in before marriage.

Interesting
I haven't seen this show, but have considered that 'arranged' marriages could work in the Western world
The random part is a concern, there needs to be some measure of compatibility at the outset in my opinion

You could say the same for the other show, Naked Dating or Dating Naked, whichever. Virtually nothing in this ‘wild west’ part of the world is ‘sacred’, every thing, every value, every belief is wide open for mockery...where have you been ...

I saw one episode (sort of in the middle of the show). They said the people were picked based on what the psychologists etc. thought would be a match. Didn't look very promising. Distance and money seemed to have been the biggest problems and those who got along well in bed didn't get along so well outside the sheets.
Goes to show that nobody can give anybody "relationship" advice

I've never seen the show and don't plan on watching something like that. I think it would be like watching a trainwreck.
I watched all of the first episode and have seen a little(5 minutes each) of some of the newer episodes. Looks like 3 or 4 of the couples went for the wedding, giving it a go. I do wish them the best and hope they stay together.

Hi Deb, perhaps we will get a spin off called "Divorce with hindsight" There seems to be no end with these new reality shows. A few good but mostly bad, me thinks. One new show that I have been enjoying is Food Fighters on the Food Network, good family entertainment. So many of the shows you would not let your children(or grandchildren) watch. JMO

Hiya Ken I agree with you and I think they're running out of ideas and stretching the limits a bit to put it mildly. A few are entertaining but some of them are right off the rails.
