twinkletoes69: Yes it was for love, and I didn't rush into it either, I gave it plentyf of tought, it took me 18 months to get moved, vias, work, house etc I had a lot to take care of, and not to mention to cost, but the hardest was leaving my daughter, family, friends. I had full support from everyone, they all happy I met someone and now our relationship is breaking dow n
I'm sorry to read about the break down. I lived in several countries, but I can call Europe and the U.S. "home" (legally) and I have an option in another country. I'll be honest, at my age, considerations like health care, finances and a support system in case you get sick and the proximity of my son are more important to me than love for exactly the reason you posted. I'm not prepared to take that risk at this age. It's like someone said earlier: there are plenty of fish in the sea.

twinkletoes69: How many of you would move to a different country for love? Give up your whole life, family friends and start a whole new life
That's really tough but yeah you can give up everything for the sake of love. Are you happy with your decisions? Did it work out for you? Sounds like you want to go back to where you come from.

This is exactly like me. I have lived in several countries worldwide, but I can call Europe and Canada "home" (legally) and I have an option in another country. My family is dotted across two continents so I would not be leaving any family behind. As for my career and home, they are rather empty without anyone to share them with so yeah, move I would. In fact I'm planning on doing so, with or without a lover to go to.
