Found guilty of culpable homicide.

Sentencing to be handed down 13 October.

Punishment can be anything from a fine, to time. To do time, negligence must be proven, which I think it has.

I hope he gets what's coming to him.

I think he can consider himself lucky to get culpable homicide, hopefully he'll get a long sentence.

Well most of us know he was guilty of murdering his girlfriend ,it may not have been premeditated but he was well known for his temper and jealous and possessive behaviour and that his attitude had changed,,yes I do think fame went to head but also he has a darker side to him that had been brewing.

As for proving did he murder his girlfriend did the judge not ask him why he would not of called out to the person he thought was in the tiny toilet before he fired 4 shots through it, the witnesses. For prosecution were not taken into consideration,

If he is capable of murder and jealous outrages and he gets just a fine or community service ,one would wonder is that a man that could explode again.

thumbs up Well said - yes, he could explode again. Interesting that he sold his house supposedly to pay for his legal fees - I wonder is there a chance he could flee? Did they confiscate his passport?

Either way, he is an aggressive bully with low self esteem prone to jealous rages - he should go to jail and pay the price. That's if he doesn't commit suicide.

Even the poor parents of riva said thete was alot more about the case that the judge surpassed.

I think the man has deep pyscological problems obviously.

It's just very very sad that a young woman was murderd and she had so much to look forward to,my heart went out for her parents,.sad flower

I think reeva's parents are very spiritual people, her poor father is just broken and he said he feels almost sorry for him,,. How he can live with himself I don't know,,if he admitted to it as her parents said,

The mother said she feels her daughters presence and she just wants closure she said all they need to know is what really happend that night,,meaning they just wanted the truth from him,god love them.

Lol, that seems mighty probable in South Africa lol

Am not sure where he will serve his sentence - if it's Pollsmoor in Cape Town, he's in for a rough ride. Pun intended.

I was reading a piece in a newspaper the other day and it mentioned some prisoners actually share the same mattress..

I hope he goes down for 15-20 yrs... I've seen the judge take lots of criticism... Maybe money talks...

Regardless of criticism, the law is very specific and they take all emotion out of it. It's not premeditated, ie he didn't pre-plan and prepare the night to end like that. Ok.

It's not murder, again that implies intent, so he gets off with that one.

Culpable homicide - he is culpable for taking another's life. True. But there was a story about a driver who killed 4 people in a car, which I'm sure he didn't "plan" either, and he got 23 years for murder.

So I guess it all depends on who's ruling on the day.

Hope he burns. Either way, he won't have a leg to stand on for long, because the inmates will steal and sell them.
