Perhaps that person doesn't want to engage/tackle with the OP due to some unfortunate history with them?....and rather than participate in thread and be cut off at the knees, best for them and everybody else in thread, to post elsewhere?

Just say for a mo that there has been history between you and I but that we're civil/friendly to one another and and on speaking terms . Then what stands between me and replying to a thread posted by you . Absolutely, I avoid responding to some post/threads because of who wrote them, and am also more likely to respond for the same reason. I like some of the people here, and others not so much. Choosing who I interact with goes a long way towards keeping the peace, and my enjoying the time I spend here.
