serene56: That's true but, at the same time, how much do we need to change ourselves to fit into someone else's expectations Does the fact that someone we admire and want to be with doesn't 'get us' make us wrong

Hmm yeah I'm hearing you
But to me, it's the essence of someone's personality that is quite often captivating to us and for that person to 'tone it down' or 'adapt' can be stultifying for them and eventually make them feel judged and perhaps stifled.
And ultimately, the person for whom they have made these 'efforts' might wonder what they saw in them in the first place
