I think schools should stick with vocational subjects and leave students to make up their own mind about the remainder wine

To me, anything outside of the fundamentals is gonna be subject to the provider's interpretation and beliefs ... and young minds are easily influenced.

Sadly we don't find that out until later thumbs up

Absolutely Serene, it would be no different in my view than if schools pushed a particular political bias. Leave religion to churches. drinking

Buddhism is a way of life and one of its tenets is to remove wants and desires from your life, the basic causes of unhappiness.

Once they are gone, happiness rules thumbs up

That would get Government into teaching Religious Doctrine, which is an absolute No-No under most Western Constitutions!
No need for them to stick their grubby Fingers there too!

Serene . I see your point, however , evolution is taught in the science curriculum of public schools. What do you say to Christian parents who are concern about their children's faith.

Yes. There is a book on the subject, which should be followed. Just as books have been produced on evolution. At the end of the day, we make up our own minds.

I am all in favor of the schools teaching our children about facts - so I am on the science - as in biology, chemistry, geography, archeology, economics, etc, etc, etc.

Also and a lot of math too!

I'm not on a side.

Science as materialist thought is clearly dominant in our era: Economics, politics, law and war in a world of facts, the masses and technology. Our search is outward-looking and as such everything we are is cold, rigid, utilitarian and honed towards materialistic expansion. The "soul" no longer exists in our beliefs.

Science as spiritualist thought is dead: Philosophy, art, architecture are all populist fads stripped of any spirituality. Our search is not inward-looking and as such fact trumps faith and there is no use for religion, spiritualism and expansion of the mind and soul.

Creationism would not experience a comeback until modern materialism and nihilism exhaust themselves. The boring, lacklustre and passionless ways of modern intellectuals and leaders as they analyse the culture to death so they can economise and politicise all has the effect of sterilising the meaning of life(nihilism)and the plebs become increasingly apathetic until society can no longer function. After this comes a new autocracy, the decline of intellectualism, and the birth of second religiousness. Perhaps Creationism will re-emerge in the future.

Which book is that?

Brainwashed minds have had the ability to decide purged out of them.
They can no longer make rational decisions, only repeat what they have been taught by rote.

By all means expose our youth to creationism. While they're at it they should also expose them to Alchemy and Astrology so they will be able to identify a Fraud when they encounter it as they go through life.

You know to which book I am referring ......it's been around a long time.
All parents brainwash their children....try to direct them in the way they desire they should grow. Fortunately, they rebel and make up their own minds.
You can educate, educate, educate with what we judge as knowledge, but there is a spirit which needs feeding too.
