I think it would've been obvious he was dead well before she had finished?! And that would include making absolutely sure.
It seems extreme and over-zealous, perhaps due to complete rage, but it sounds like a degree of 'relish' was involved.
Having said that, I don't know the fella nor what he did. It could be argued that he deserved it? But, still.... no, self-defence doesn't cut it.....

Have you ever seen someone irrationally stamp on a spider many times after it's dead out of extreme fear?
I'm not saying it was a fear response, I haven't spoken to the woman, nor read the evidence. I'm just wondering how you came to your conclusions.

OP said it was her BF. So he was not stranger for her. she must hav had spended sometime with him and knew him better that is all women do before going in relationship.

its not extreme fear. If people are scared of someone they try to escape from the place beside fight if someone live in a country where rules and regulations are tight.
Jury found her guilty. They do investigate the whole matter before reaching at final conclusion. dont they?
