Just being silly here but I have managed to click on the last post and managed to do a reply.

No I have been thinking about this "inability to post things on certain sites." Being of the old school of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" I have not updated this computer from Windows XP because mainly because I have found Windows Whatever on my laptop difficult to navigate. Maybe the choice of Operating System is having an affect.

Okay, 4 weeks ago (tomorrow) I had to do my CentreUnlink Reporting so that I could get maybe a few dollars back after paying Income Tax for so many years. My home computer knocked me back because "Your Windows Browser is not compatible with our system." Meant I had to drive to the nearest CentreUnlink office, spend 15 minutes trying to find parking within reasonable walking distance (has been universally determined/agreed at 400 metres) and use their most unhelful computers.

Went to the Salvos to use their computers 2 weeks ago (tomorrow) only to find that the CentreUnlink system was down.."Please try again later."

I run an old FireFox version 3.6, and often get that sort of crap to, run that version as the version for paid for password manager works on it and no need to install later annual subscription version.

Work around download Google Chrome

Chrome is the safest browser and pretty easy to work with, i never ever use IE browser, can't uninstall it but would if i could...

Most basic programs work with XP, Microsoft update can and do stuff up computers forcing Operating System and Software upgrades, but stuff emmm i still running Office 2000 on my Win7. You only need in your case later software instruct XP to run the program in XP mode, by clicking on the software icon/properties and select the mode you want the program to run in

a whinge from me, been giving away DVD Slide Show of bird photos with Lyre-Bird and Tibetan Flute sound track, given well over one hundred then month or so ago Windows DVDMaker program started stuffing up. Purchased and installed new DVD Burner...just purchased that and three hiours later mate said problem probably occurred as i had purchased DVD -R disks instead of DVD +r disks, he was right, but still even after buying +R disks and trying that still no good.
Searched forum after forum, microsoft and win7 forum sites for how to repair-fix DVDMaker, downloaded program after program that claimed they could make dvd slide shows, ran windows fix-it tool you name it, then Saturday purchased external burner with Nero pre-installed, still waiting for it to turn up.
Meanwhile sunday evening came across a forum with post to microsoft site that had a number of possible fix's, including go Start\All Programs\Turn Windows Features on or off.
Did tat and two three reboots later presto DVDMaker again works fine....
We all knew tat ah?
doh
