That holiday and all pagan holidays never started here in American. They were everyone of them brought from Europe. However.....they have been candy coated to make people believe it's ok. Study on the history of these holidays. You find that candy coating...or deceiving people with these holidays come from Constantinople. Who never ever was a follower of Jesus. He lied saying he was in order to keep peace between his people and those who followed the teachings of Jesus. And those who refused to agree with him were either killed or fled. These holidays poured over into all the other religious sects that are called Christians.

I've actually been going through this weird awakening and have decided I don't think I should say I'm a Christian. Besides all the evil that Constantinople brought in, saying Jesus said...or God said...l simply can't find Constantinople's claims it in the scriptures confused

The problem with many of these "traditions" is that they've been hijacked by rampant consumerism, it's all about people making money off people who have been badgered in buying things they normally wouldn't simply because the neighbours are doing it. A lot of people in western nations don't really care for the religious aspects of things like Easter, Christmas or even Halloween, to most it's a commercial enterprise.wine

Christmas is NOT an American thing.......study about the history of Christmas and you'll find its candy coated jollies dating back to Babylonian days......

I'm not Jehovah Witness...have nothing against them.....but not one of the pagan holidays that is celebrated here comes from here.

Don't forget....people came here to practice religious freedoms......

Oh I agree with that Jim! Study up on the history of all these holidays.....it'll blow, your mind what they used to be able to do by law.....by law of Constantinople and others.

Constantinople was a greedy man...one perfect example of the spirit of greed....

For many people...having THINGS is more important than just living the life we can live here enjoy everything we have here. I'm not against nice and good things....but I really could care less as long as I have love, peace, joy, truth, and respect around me.

When my daughter was a baby...I wanted to pull myself away from all these holidays. I did for the most part. I knew a little but not all the truth. It was difficult though because my family and friends scolded me or disowned me for teaching her that Santa Claus as we know him is a lie.

I was a single mother....always broke. The last thing I wanted her to feel was that because we were poor....and I couldn't afford the toys the other children received was that she was bad. Not on,y that....if I lied to here...I had no spiritual recourse to correct her because I was the one teaching her to lie in order to please lying people ...now how confusing is that for a child your trying to raise up to be truthful...confused

Study up on it Jim......this year I really got deep into this stuff. I'm a weird person....I hate having to believe what people tell me to believe. And in this day and time, we have been blessed with the opportunity to not just know,truth....but to seek it. That way we can not bare false witness against people....or a people wine

I'll be more specific for you .... the current look of Santa Claus as we know him today was actually started by Coca Cola in the 1930's as an advertisement to their product ... ie Santa drinking a coke instead of milk when he was delivering toys .. drinking

Now I wrote it slow for you ... so read it slow and lets get ourselves back onto the same page .... laugh

Well...lol...for,the love of money of course. Actually art sure has evolved hasn't it!?

"""According to the Coca-Cola company: "For inspiration, Sundblom turned to Clement Clark Moore's 1822 poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas" (commonly called "'Twas the Night Before Christmas"). Moore's description of St. Nick led to an image of Santa that was warm, friendly, pleasantly plump and human. For the next 33 years, Sundblom painted portraits of Santa that helped to create the modern image of Santa – an interpretation that today lives on in the minds of people of all ages, all over the world.""""

So no.....coca cola did not create the Santa clause as we know him today.

What a lot of people do not understand due to lack of knowledge is that every single holiday though that are in the so called Christian churches are pagan. My best friend who's pagan pitches a fit over it...lol. It was actually here who brought it to my attention...lol. Constantinople was a smart pagan to use the sign of the cross that that originally belonged to the queen of heaven be sign the used to bring his people and the followers of Jesus together to try and combine them. Many strict followers of Jesus were killed for not converting.....or fled.

Any ole ways!grin interesting blogs!

Only because some people don't want to hear all the truths. Most people who claim they are saintly hare hiding in a glad house I've learned. Anyone wanting to point a finger to blame others or claim that everyone else made the. Do it, justifying what they do forget there's 3 fingers point back at them....and a thumb that doesn't know which direction to go.

One thing I've learned!wink ls ever day I learn something new......and any times learning something new can change a persons view only if they truly want to follow truth. We can only blame ourselves these days for not learning and refusing to share truth.

Cheers! Time to get ready for work!
