Not for me, I can think of better things to do with my time than sitting in a bar. I like the outdoors and being active, I can sit still when I'm dead.

I do recall doing that quite often in my younger days .... even when I was just going out with ex#1 until we settled down to get married.
And during winter when going to the beach was not on, it was a good way to spend some time with your mates. Then again, during summer when it got a bit hot, it was often good to go up to the pub for a few beers with the mates before heading home.
But since getting married at a tender ago of early 20s, it is not something I have participated in continuing. And the older I get, I find that I do drink much less for a number of reasons....
- it is getting expensive to drink at a pub/club.
- drink/driving laws means that if you are over the miniscule limit of a teetotaller being capable of doing up his fly, you have no legal rights in a court of law (you can get your rrrrsss sued for everything and a day).
- drink/driving laws now mean that only a couple of drinks can mean that legally you are an alcoholic and need a locking device just to drive a vehicle.
- I have found that a lot of people who drink a bit more than they should tend to talk crap.
On the otherhand, I have found that I have learnt to dispell a lot of crap that bothers me and I do tend to throw caution to the wind and sprout very intelligent stuff at thos around me which a lot of those useless drunks have no understanding of or even retain any knowledge of those salient points I have given them.
Adding to that is the fact that I can no longer handle alcohol like I could in my younger days.
In the old days, I could sleep all night on the floor after I passed out................without waking up aching the next day.

I;ll sometimes do an all nighter at the casino ... between the night spots, live band and then what ever crowd I get in with, I'll drink till six or seven in the am ...
Though hey I'll only do this once or twice a year ....
I'm a bugga to get out though once I get there I don't wanna come home ..
