I heard it on the six o'clock radio news tonight... It was on a smallish radio station, and I don't think too many would have cared to be honest..

The media is trying to make it a story, trying is the operative word for here.. doh

Then, following that story, came along the "in Qld. 3 people were shot by police in one week" story... uh oh

Hell yeah, I know. I'm surprised that Putin hasn't supplied the rioters with tanks by now.

Heard on radio news that, so far, 80 protesters have been arrested. Another night like this and Ferguson Walmart won't be crowded for black Friday, providing Walmart is still there.

cavalier550: I just learned via CNN that there have been NO grand jury decision reached in Ferguson concerning the fatal shooting by a white cop of a African-American youth, Michael Brown. So what happens next-peaceful protests with the possibility of all hell breaking loose in Ferguson, St.Louis, maybe even New York, Chicago? What do you fellow single men and women have to say about that?

The grand jury needed 9 votes for a decision, they had those votes

9 were whites 3 blacks, yes I do believe in coincidences beer

So.. must be some kind of legal door for an appeal, that the 9/3 votes,
is indicative of the grand jury decision.

I respect the Grand Jury's decision.
They are the ONLY 12 people who have seen all of the evidence, heard and questioned all of the witnesses, did not bow under the pressure for a quick answer, but took their time.
They are 12 people that made a decision based solely on evidence and scientific analysis, and not from emotion.

The forensic evidence proves Mr. Brown was shot in/at the car; his body tissue was found inside the car and outside the car door. The forensic evidence proves he WAS moving away; the drops of blood show a clear trail for a distance. The officer has testified Brown WAS going away and then turned back and charged at him. Guess what? The forensic evidence backs up the officer's and other eyewitnesses' claims: the trail of blood indicates a doubling back and THEN the pool of blood formed when Officer Wilson shot him for the final times.

By the way, Missouri's laws allow for a person to use lethal force even if they just think a person is GOING to commit a felony. Striking an officer IS a felony in the state of Missouri.

More bad news: even if your preferred-fairy-tale-version of the events WAS correct (that Officer Wilson shot Mr. Brown while he was running away), Missouri law allows police officers, while in the line of duty, TO shoot fleeing suspects.

You want to be upset about something? DON'T be upset with the Grand Jury who followed the law, as it's currently written, when deciding if an officer worked within the law while enforcing the law when stopping a (now-confirmed guilty) suspect who broke the law.

All I know is that it's a sad situation for everyone concerned.

I heard the verdict and turned the channel to something more positive.

Wouldn't be surprised to read about a movie being made about this.

9 whitesand 3 blacks. for.
Hypothetically speaking ,if it was the opposite,
9 blacks and 3 whites, i bet you,
the grand jury would voted for indictment.
Unarmed, shot and killed and the killer, not to face trial,???
its something,non Americans cannot understand.-
