Canucks Tribute to Pat Quinn (5)
He gave the Canucks many good years, many heart breaks and many memories.
He will be missed by many. May he RIP.
I meet Pat in Detroit at a game, and in Buffalo. went back to the hotel room and partied with family. friend of mine lived at Pat's parents home for five years. real nice people.
@Tappintoes I agree. I can't believe he's gone. I noticed over the last year he wasn't looking well but never heard anything about his illness. He didn't want any hospital visitors but the night he died he did let Trevor Linden and Kirk Maclean see him. It's great in the video to see the passing of the torch to others esp Linden. When the Canucks anthem singer sang Danny Boy it was so touching. Never seen a tribute by the Canucks quite like that.
@Pedalguy He was a tough guy but a teddy bear inside and a very loyal man. What a hit on Orr!

After the game since he was a rookie it was his responsibility to buy the beer and sneak it on the bus.
This explains what happened when he walked in.
I read online Pat said "being Irish saved my life."
And from the Canucks playing the Bruins in the final in 2011 I know the Boston fans can be quite nasty.

A man who did so much for hockey especially in Vancouver and the rest of Canada. We're still feeling the effects of what he did for the Canucks and those who learned from him . What a legacy.
