pedro27: people can take many things from you throughout life but there is one thing they can't, what is it..?

I could make a few guesses, pride, dignity, sense of self worth, but I am sure you have something more specific in mind.

I don't even know the correct answer to my question, but I deeply know there is a correct answer to it. It makes sense to have something no one can take from one.

I think stray dogs and cats are different as many end abandoned, and I have adopted in the past (even a 6y old St Bernard some point) and generally it went fantastic thumbs up Animal minds are simpler, damage more reversible, I'd say.

@ MADDOG
Totally in agreement with you. There are often mental problems which lead people to end on the streets, and if anything, I believe we need to look at what makes people so ill in modern societies. To just go awwww when it's too late, is of little use. That ex friend of mine even had a good family background, but ended on drugs and alcohol due to wrong turns taken, and by the time I tried help, it was definitely too late (even though he has been off drugs and drink for years). Not even the religion he found (a Jehovah's Witness) was able to motivate him. Lots of talk how it is all Satan's fault, but no rising to make changes to the own self. It was frustrating and scary to watch sigh

Wasn't comparing animals to humans tiny ,was just kind of a metehpher ie I meant everyone is diverse in nature whether homeless or not,.

I tend not to generalise .

Your a good caring soul.
