Okay, after a severe avoidance of working over the last 18 months for so many reasons, I have managed to do 8 working days with the Victorian Electoral Commission over the last 10 days.

You people have no idea how this will cause me so much many hassles over the next month to receive the free money the Govt has available (normally...normally what they give me something but not a realistic income to survive) to me for not working after contributing to a welfare system for the last 44 years.

My brother who has been paying income tax for the last 50 years has urged me to keep on going for the Govt money. Trying to keep it in the family. head banger tongue professor rolling on the floor laughing banana cheering applause

well I've spent last 25 years working for Australia Government for nothing Wash
Was asked to, supported for a fair hearing by Tim Fischer and both sides of House of Representatives.
Recorded in Law how the Federal Family Court ignore the Rules and Regulations Prescribed by Parliament and the dumb politicians even after three inquires into the workings of the Family Court (two instigated by Senator David Browhill) dumb politicians are to dumb/completely ignorant haven't even checked out the extent of the dishonesty the judiciary are engaged in.

Mean while in relation to the recent Vic elections I posted this comment directed to Tony Abbots comments
"Vic loss not fed's fault: Abbott"!
Robplum:
If i recall correctly Federal Tony Abbott offered to fund East-West Link in support of Denis Napthine's campaign, then later announced an increase in Vic Fuel Excise effective week before the State Election to fund that offer which NSW Premier now says he is happy to use. Good old Victoria possibly soon be paying increased fuel excise funding NSW road construction. Then I'm sure i saw news reports both John Howard and Tony Abbott appeared here in Victoria, most folks that I know think doing that was pure poison

Prahran was apparently very close and a recount was called. Narre Warren North District (my area) was a close thing with counting continuing to late Tuesday afternoon before a result could be declared in favour of Luke Donellan (who has continually resided on the other side of Melbourne).

Dandenong District (Vic calls them 'District" while most other States call them "Electorate') had its boundaries altered to cross the Dandenong Creek and impinge on the country post code of Endeavour Hills. After 22 years of John Papp.....(ALP) a new ALP figure has taken the reign over Dandenong, a very young Gabrielle Williams.

I was at the Declaration of Results for Dandenong District where Ms Williams gave a speech of thanks to the available audience. I got lost about halfway through when she said "I was handed these words by a colleague and they have impressed me. Roosevelt said...."

I had been carefully listening to what she was saying but after a couple of sentences, I was trying to work out which Roosevelt would have said those words. I asked someone next to me which one they thought it might have been ..... the response was "One of them came to Australia. Didn't they?"

not that extreme sort of move Lookinlaugh

I think you've read that wrong, Abboot is offering to lower the numbers gov pay's the doctors and the doctor can (if she/he wants) ask the good citizen to pay the different's between what doctors currently get paid and the reduced payment from gov

bear in mind the same amount of money is always spent by government, what the difference the liars are on about is where the money is spent not how much, think about tat for a while lookin

Wash I dunno, I got shifted into Fischer in Qld, mostly I think the boundary was probably changed because Alex Somlyay MP didn't want to represent my matters, Peter Slipper didn't mind

wash2u: Always wished that it was less than the $30 something per visit I had to pay to see a real doctor before I got my "Get to See the Doctor for Free" card.

Oddly enough, I have been having blood tests for more than 30 years now and not had to pay for the testing (had to pay the doctor for the visit before and after).

I very recently combined my diabetes blood test with the heart specialist blood test (1 blood-suck is enough) but I now have to pay for the heart specialist part of the test - $72.50. This is nearly 30% of my weekly income.Sorry, mate but that $5 cost equates to about 5 smokes or 2 cans of beer or 1 Big Mac or even a decent coffee for a doctor visit.
What would you give up for a visit to a qualified doctor?

confused dunno... the ones i see are'nt qualified ... hence a recently kicked out of hospital just b4 my nose op, after a surgeon of 30-40 yrs experience that sent me to hospital to have 3 procedures, when the two surgeons that where gonna do it said i did'nt need any of them (ops)... just use this spray and come back in 3mths doh

Okay, I was in hospital a few months ago because my heart decided that it didn't want to work properly. Luckily I had private health insurance as the local public hospitals (plural) had shut down at 5pm. Ended up in a 24 hour emergency operating private hospital. Because I had private insurance, I was kept at that hospital.

I had a necessary procedure to open up my heart veins/arteries/thingys to work again. Except the bottom half of my heart was not working after 2 stents were inserted on the Thursday. Friday night and a surgeon came in and said she was going to implant a pacemaker on Sunday.

Lying on my trolley outside the theatre about to go in for prep work and my surgeon shows up and tells me that the bottom half of my heart has finally kicked in and it is my choice for the implant surgery. Which is not really required.

My 7 days in hospital plus the 2 stents inserted cost my health fund around $18,000 (my health fund - now Medicbank Private owned - sent this information probably to get me to keep paying them).

For some reason, Australia has decided that it will commit a lot of money to Foreign Aid. I was disgusted when I heard how much was forwarded to Indonesia when they were about to declare war on us (has happened a lot over the last 70 years).

And to make it worse, the Rudd/Gillard Govts decided that instead of a certain amount of cash being given, it would be a percentage of our Gross Domestic Product, irrespective of our Balance of Trade figures or how much we could spend on the 6.3% unemployed or the money we spend on illegal immigrants.
