To make the most of our time and make the best of any situation is a good and positive thing and also peace of mind is the ultimate blessing for ourselves,

But even when you are content in the day do you have a restless streak in you at times that just wants to be an adventurer ,travel, whatever it is to get your adrenaline going .

Make you feel alive.

I would say I have a desire for adventure and pursue my goals and ambitions with determination and zeal.

But to answer more seriously, yes, I have a restless streak in me. With all due respect to the fair Eire, I do find life here rather boring and mundane - and the weather has a lot to do with it.

I had a life of much activity, sports, socialising, activities - I don't find going down to the local to do some more sitting with alcohol particularly stimulating.

I have a yearning to DO stuff - canoeing, white river rafting, parachuting, motorcycling - all things designed to get the adrenaline going again.

So yes. I'm restless. hug

Yes to reach attainable goals and plan for that,

But I'm talking about doing things spontaneously but it's not practical in the moment hence a restless feeling,

I started motorbiking at the age of 16, traveled around the whole Australian continent, raked up about 25000 miles in the States too over the years, plenty of tours in Europe as well, nights out driving the bike and the car in rain, hail, fog, storm and snow, just for the feeling of 'moving', and I moved houses/locations 14 times - I think I can safely say I DID have a restless streak big time uh oh

Not now though. Love where I am, totally content, smiling every morning when I look out over the surrounding hills from my hill - finally settled, me thinks peace (but I do still plan to travel in Ireland, all those old ruins and what not have to still be explored professor grin )

Yes heno maybe if you were able to pursue those things you wouldn't feel restless at times ,

My bro is in oz and he is pursuing the things he wants to do,,more opportunities,

He would be very restless here but he is the type to adapt well once he is in a place ,

My son was same when he was there ,,living and working for himself,,

Working hard during day,,doing dj ing at night on beach,

Swimming with tropical fish,,fishing and catching baby shark throwing it back,,lol.

Yea living the dream.

I hear you, Tiny. Same here - was away every single weekend with the bikes, up mountains, in rivers, fishing, paragliding, camping, away from the madding crowd. Travelled all over South Africa, even took a sabbatical for a year from work and travelled in a campervan, bikes on back, met some amazing people, saw some incredible places.

I still don't wear a watch today, throwback to the good ol' days when you ate when you were hungry, and slept when tired.

Then became a mother, so that took care of 18 years, but she has since moved to UK and my hands-on role has come to an end these past three years - now, free time is in abundance, so I think it's just the adjustment period now to get used to being "free and single" again.

Old ruins can sometimes reveal hidden treasures - but they can crumble easily, too, so one must handle them with great care. cheers

To pick up kayaking again would be cool too, and still deciding whether to get my bike over (oldest son wants it, same as daughter lol), and there is still that dream to ride the Paris-Dakar.. flirty but I really am not missing anything at the moment, life is great as is, and I have plenty of adrenalin just from letting my rocket launchers out, the dobes are plenty life threatening when playing laugh

@ stan
There can never be enough old castle ruins to visit thumbs up grin
