brownie76: Ehh maybe I could get some pointers please guys and girls!
If I mail a guy and tell him about my soon to be ex husband and my marital status says separated!

Would u reply "so your married? Ehh bye!!"

Just wondering if im missing something!!

Thanks and happy CS'ing xxx

Liza

This is currently my situation I am separated and have been living apart for the past 4 and half years. Because my divorce is not finalised, I cannot change my name on my mortgage or bank accounts.. Hense the fact that in this country you have to be separated or living apart for 4 out of 5 years to qualify for a divorce and then I have been informed that it take up to 8 months so legally I'm still married but I am definitely separated

Apologies fray, need to be of an age.
Reading the responses to todays different threads reminds me of an attitude I thought and hoped we'd lost forever.

I'm of a substantial age laugh and have found (on here and in RL) those new to singledom can be stringent. Time usually takes care of it. The trick is not to entertain bitterness. We are still quite a conservative culture.

Bitterness is wishing you had done things differently...

I think folk make the right decision at the time when choosing a mate - why else would you marry them/spend time with them/have a relationship with them in the first place, if they did not appeal to you at the time?

Doesn't mean said mate won't change, as will you, during a lifetime shared, and there's nothing wrong with no longer meeting each other's needs : you just have to be grown up enough to admit it and move on as cleanly as possible.

Anger, resentment, bitterness, vitriolic tendencies serve only to blind you to beautiful possibilities in the future.

He'll need to ask Edna's handler but I'd say Angela is still pulling crackers and farting remnants of pudding
