It isn't about changing others, it is about what we can do to change the world for the better, just our own little contribution
I think I am to the point of not wanting to make further changes in regards to myself or my life. I should be out more, fight in the outside world for the things I believe in, I know that, but most things I have changed for myself and had hope for also on a wider scale, were taken by the system or turned out to have other implications. I changed to Fairtrade and even actively tried to inform people about their own consumer power, but years on now and big companies appear to have hijacked the label. I turned to vegetarianism, but there are implications connected to that in regards to insect and rodent life. Still fiercely believe that we have a responsibility to ensure that the meat we consume has been farmed in a caring manner, and that our methods of slaughtering others need to be majorly reformed, something I should be out there fighting for.. but I am just tired and out of steam sort of. I just want to be away from most of humanity, and even though I do interact here same as in my gaming community, it's easy as I can turn my back any time.
Maybe it is lazyness, maybe it is disillusionment, but I am to the point of looking away now mostly. Not happy that I do, it's selfish and wrong and I know it, but at the moment I just keep it as is

Continue to open the minds of young people, if we change the young we change the future.

I hear you. I often work and help people wanting change in their lives, but when I'm done, I'm done, and I close my door to the world.
Not always a good way to be, but it suits me.
If I hear or see about small changes I can do to make my time here a bit better for the environment, or society, I do try to do them.
