My long-standing friends from around Sydeney usually take the best part of a week to do the trip 1-day trip (there are a lot of pubs on the way if the planning is done properly....which is why it takes so long).
So this year, I was organising people from country NSW to meet up at my brother's farm about 1 hour south of Sydeney and then to do a longish detour through the Southern Highlands, NSW South Coast and the Snowey Mountains. Meet up on the Saturday night and then proceed.
Oops....niece decides on a date for her engagement party. Oops, meetup date for the Corowa trip near Sydeney. Plans are underway for a lot of north & west NSW people to meet a few hours northwest of Sydeney on the Saturday. Problem #2. Brother's daughter now decides on her Engagement Party date...when I am in Corowa.
