postneoludite: I haven't seen it. Is it anything like In The Flesh?
Never seen that one, but I had a peek at a review and no, the one I'm talking about is about a group of survivors lead by a police officer in a Zombie Apocalypse.
The AMC channel had a Walking Dead marathon of all of the previous episodes this week-end. I did not watch them and only have ever watched the last four episodes of the last season. But I did enjoy what I have watched and am looking forward to the continuing story.Yes. it is too bad that they killed off Beth, it will be interesting to see if they introduce someone new to take her place.
It airs tomorrow with the second half of the fifth season and the next day for Europe and the rest.
I'm pretty upset they killed my fav character Beth.
Thoughts? expectations?
I've just not long started watching it, i've crammed in 3 seasons so now i'm up to date !!!......i agree i was dissapointed Beth died and andrea and the fact that Hershelle lost his head , but all that is keeping the show fresh i would like to see the walkers get smarter and retain some memory of who they are, that could be interesting !!! :)

Season number one was the best IMO, season number two was a bit slow as it the story took place in Hershel's farm. Season 3 had ups and downs, season 4 meh and first part of season 5 was ok in the gruesome department but there was a lack of meaningful dialogues and character development.
You are gonna laugh but there was even a petition from fans to bring Beth back.

Some people argue that to keep the audience interested they kill 1 main character in every season finale. So far seems to be working but i think in Beth's case they gave her a stupid death, she deserved more.
Unfortunately walkers get dumber and slower with every season as some are starved and their bodies start to decay. I think it was in season 1 that they were able to climb fences! Now they are not that 'skilled' lol.
For the new season i think the biggest threat relies on the huge herds roaming around.

Haven't watched it, though I've seen snippets of it. Sorry, zombies don't really do it for me.
I remember Andrew Lincoln when he first started out in 'This Life'.... brilliant! Went on to other things but he has always been good. Glad to see he has gone on to even better things....

Well I am addicted to it. Trying hard to figure out why they never have to roll their own cartridges given as many as they expend every show (am I the only one who counts shots?) and also how come years after it all began, every time they come up on an abandoned car, the battery still has enough charge to start the car. I want that battery!!!
Am I troubled perhaps at seeing gun designs that didn't emerge until after the Zombie thing happened? This week, yes.
But those are reality things. At long last some of the zombies begin to just fall apart as they ultra slowly begin to rot. One must truly love the one whose skin just pulled off when grabbed and pulled last week. LoL, in real life I have only seen that once, on someone who was boiled to death. But I know exactly how icky/ewww that feels (even if the actor really doesn't, and hopefully never will).
So now they are living in a walled off housing development in Alexandria, VA and trying to fit in with their neighbors who never went outside. Having walked the dark side of life, they find that social gatherings with those who have not, can be problematic. Meanwhile Glen experiences both a return to the horror of zombies and learning a coward has a core of heroism, while one who acted brave is acually the purest of cowards.
Spoiler survival tip to the wise. Never use a hand grenade to kill a zombie, UNLESS you also leave the room it is detonating inside of.

Walking Dead is more about people than zombies, although the zombies are a nuisance.
If there has been an apocalypse, there will be no prisons with guards left, no place to put the mentally ill, no one to call. So when you meet someone who is dangerous, you must handle it yourself in a permanent fashion.
Many Walking Dead episodes are on Coke and popcorn. This was season 4, episode 12.
