Long distance? It doesn't work for me. But it works for some people.It really depends on how they deal with it.. .

Same here, I never get responses from guys in my area, seems that all of them are looking for a blonde woman overseas to take them out of here. That's the way Venezuelan guys are.

The same experiences I had, just one times i got a mail from a man around my area... but he doesn't answered. but enough from areas miles and miles away I don't know why.. I would also prefer to find somebody naer me...

I don't rate photos. In this site; it has to be just for the forums because there really aren't many here near me.
What am I saying? I don't use these sites they way they're intended for. I don't like feeling like I'm hiding behind a computer screen for "interviews". Or even for "interviewing".
I must say though; the scammers might be evolving a little. Somewhat harder to tell with some.

Well, let's look at the psychology of a site like this. Many are disillusioned with local dating sites and responses.
If I wanted a local girl, I probably would have used a local dating site, or better still, have joined up with some single groups in my area.
But here, it is easier to have people's needs for a relationship/friendship met without having to actually deal with being with people, without having to put up with real people in real situations.
For me, I wasn't wanted by the "local women", so I went where I was wanted.
There is always the perception that "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence".
Sometimes people are seeking the different to their norm, to awake a sense of enlivenment, that they don't feel with local people.
It is the seeking of something new, or the rejection from locals, that lead people to seek connection further afield.
It did for me, and I have no regrets at all. Actually, I have received emails from many others that have experienced very positive connections with partners further afield than their local areas, who they found here on CS.
It is primarily not for locals to find locals here on CS. If that is what you are really wanting, you might be better off joining some more local dating sites.

i dont rate photo's this is only the outside of the person, i do like the idea of meeting woman far away or should i say chatting with them its interesting to hear whats happening in the other parts of the world and you can make good friends

Totally agree, to almost the full extent. I was messaged by a man a few years ago.
He was to be in my exact city on such a date,. Well I wanted to meet. Dinner, ya know, a date. Seemed on the up and up. I want to date. I attempt ,then I flake every time. With all the the things in the news, I get a gut feeling which tells me NO. I want to meet someone that I am introduced to me threw a friend. So yes, my friends are pushing me to go to parties etc. With them, as they say "find me a man". Still, I really am ready, thus to contradict myself, I get nervous. Meeting the first time. I met one man, on this site, he was great, went out a few times, nice dinners, Really nice, movies, lunch, shopping.
He then went to the other side of the country for work. He still contacts me. Still I get nervous. I am 54, weird huh? I go out, am approached, I do not get close, I am polite, flirt, have fun. Self confident, have fun , laugh, Then , BYE ! Thus do not give my number or a definite Yes. I receive cards, Call me. I do not. Oh well. We shall see. I get messages only from far off lands. I seem to not get contact from any one in close proximity. It seems to me, from my perception all fake. Hope I made sense. TMI, If any one read this, small novel thx. : )Oh well. PEACE HH
