Actually, I'd rather say the moral of the story is that even though we may end up feeling lonely at times in our lives, we have memories of interaction and the ability to interact and break from that loneliness. We can talk to others, even if it is just exchanging a few words in the supermarket with the lady or gentleman at the till.
This whale appears condemned in ways we are not, so let us feel for him/her, but same time also cherish that we never have to be this lonely.

How can this whale be lonely with yer one following it with her stupid commentary....the whale is probably screaming at her to shut the eff up and leave it alone...
Can't help it, I personally find the story of 52 Hertz extremely touching. He or she will have once known company, at least in form of its mother, and scientific research suggests that whales are sentient beings.
Imagine you'd wake one morning and you'd be alone, truly alone. How you would end up walking the lands, calling in hopes to have another human answer you, but never a reply. Survival instinct and hope would keep you going, but the suffering of such a lonely existence would weigh heavy on you.
In a way I expect it must be like this for 52 Hertz. His or her mother one day passed away, and ever since it appears to have been searching, but as this whale also seems to traverse a differing route unlike that of any other whale, and with the oceans being so vast.. that search has been futile.
Don't care whether people find a need to make fun of this. To me personally it is a tragic fate, and despite the odds I hope 52 Hertz will eventually have the miracle happening of finding other whales, even if they might never understand his or her song

I know john and thank you for that. I do however believe this is a real story. One can never fully tell with any information, but they definitely have the means to catch the songs and would be able to determine whether there are other whales like this. Don't see why this should be made up, and strange things can happen, this whale seemingly being one
