This is all part of a spiritual process that leads to a persons recovery,
If people slip up in life a persons still has their higher power and that could even be members in an AA hall that their higher power could be ,

I might add that I have not said what my higher power god is to me only to say god has no beginning no end and I like to believe when our body dies are spirit dosnt,

So to make it easier !
I don't believe in a non-human sentient lifeform that guided (guides) 1 or 2 humans to write a book (or spread some truth).
- i think this is most people their view of GOD.
So question.
When would i believe that that non-human sentient lifeform did exist?
Answer:
Whatever comes out should be unachievable by any other human in any way.
And resurrection is weak, writing a book with some standards (no matter how revolutionary) is weak, advance science is weak, finding something to pray to is weak,
Witnessing telekinesis would work for me. or sealed exact prediction of the future (not the nostradamus hocus pocus). or a clear knowledge of the past that can be tested.
I'm still thinking if the lifeform is only afterlife ghosty related what it can uniquely manifest....
Would i fall on my knees for that lifeform if it asked me?
only with a gun to my head or equivalent. Or for a good salary or equivalent.

Religion and belief in god are two separate issues. I don't believe in the god that our forebears made in our own image, but I have experienced a sense of unity with the universe during meditation .. to me that is experiencing 'god' on a very personal level. I don't need the socio-political institution that is religion to TELL ME what to believe.
Religion has been used as a means of motivating its adherents to war, and by demonizing the 'godless' opponent or by the old 'Our god is better than your god' argument, makes it easier to slaughter them. Politics in religion and religion in politics are not good mixtures.

1- you are sure 100% that there is no God (God = universe creator )
2- you doubt very much that there is no God(you are sure more than 50% & less than 100% that there is no God)
3- you don't know at all if there is a God or there isn't (50 50 doubt)
4- you doubt very much that there is a God ( you are sure more than 50% & less than 100% that there is a God)
5- you are 100% sure that there is a God

I simply have no evidence for the existence of a god thus disbelief is my default position. I cannot claim to know there is no god but have no reason to believe there is.

A higher power is something we just like to connect with and feels good in a spiritual sense that has nothing to do with religion or whether one says he believes in god or not,
That is just a name and everybody believes in something what their higher power I means to them,
It's a personal thing for a person for to have even if one not aware of it yet its there,
