I've been looking at maps of Ireland.
It's so small!
How do you get so much stuff in there?

What is it like getting around by bus in Ireland?

Based on my experience in England, when I have to drive very fast on the wrong side of vary narrow roads, I reflexively steer into a head on collision. That can spoil an otherwise fine day.

Don't drive down these parts so we have very narrow one way streets here in Wexford town,

The whole set up of it drive you insane ,,haha,

Take you an hour to drive ten minites walk down town as some streets and roads you have to go the long way round ,

Traffic lights the slowest ever ,lol,

Aah the roads just out of the town centre are good,we have those men in their vans parked at side of motorways watching and rightly so,

Yes the buses are great ,,check them out,

Bus eireann and we have Dublin bus that takes straight to the airport,

The buses are good,thumbs up

The bus shouldn't be a problem between the bigger cities, or if it's on a main route between the airport and a city. conversing

I got the hang of driving on the left hand side quick enough when first on holidays here, maybe fly into Shannon and not Dublin (to avoid a big city when starting off) and do the Ring of Kerry after having a bit of practice. laugh

Let me know when you're in Kilkenny. wave

Although head-on collisions do put a dent in an otherwise perfect day, if you could manage it at all, I would recommend driving rather than bussing it.
Many of the more spectacular places are off the main bus corridors.

Probably Middleton?

Bushmills is also popular

My Ozzie friend is a big Jamesons drinker

I'm coming from a desert that is dry in more ways than one, and I need something more portable than a keg of Guinness laugh

wink

I'd say you could cycle most of it anyway. Maybe you might have to get off occasionally if it is too rough. You could use that time to have a drop of Midleton Rare grin

Check out the Wild Atlantic Way. That would be a fantastic experience

I'm not sure if I'm in good enough shape to ride my "bike" all day AND all night. What happens if you don't get out of bed in a B&B?

Wild Atlantic Way wow hmmmm thumbs up

It's so hard to decide, but I must have a bike and I must have some booze

Hey, I'm a great roommate
