Why no Chinese ladies on the forums? ( Archived) (13)

I guess that is why several British schools are now working with Chinese education agencies to create schools across China with both British and Chinese teachers and students, all of which are proving to be incredibly successful.
Remember, without teachers you wouldn't be able to write or comment on this medium or any other for that matter!!

The Chinese preference is to hire their own wherever possible, I've heard more than one call western english teachers losers, but needs must I am sure. I also closely know two people teaching English out in the far east at the moment, both of them are university dropouts.

Part of the reason is that a lot of Chinese ladies with profiles on here, are not really good at speaking or writing English.

Sure, they could use pinyin, but still, this is a prodominantly English site.

My wife is Chinese, and I met her right here.

Remember that China is also a very big country, with about 56 provinces. Each province also has its own language.

Mandarin tends to be spoken in the north, and Guandong (Cantonese) in the south. My wife speaks Fujian and Mandarin, but not Guandong. She can speak English to, but to speak a language understandably requires a change in mindset, because language is intrinsically linked to culture and customs. It is intrinsically linked to though patterns.

Sometimes the things we want to say in a different language don't translate very well because of the intrinsic link with thinking.

So you will probably only find the English speakers in the Forums and Blogs.

But there are many beautiful and amazing and worthwhile Chinese ladies on here if you care to look for them.
