unlaoised: Exactly what did I accuse you of? Seriously, you're in lalaland

Archives of what?

Actually, you were caught out on the "computer scientist" thing, so clearly, your truth is a little different to most. You, my dear, don't have the first incling of what I'm about so go troll someone else

I can send u my work details to confirm that I am a snr software engineer but noone here understands the terminology. Definitely u r one of then. I can't see how people can try to refute something they know zilch about. That includes u and ur kind.

mollybaby: How do you become an ex-(enter nationality)? If I go and live abroad, which i have done, am I therefore ex-Irish?

And do I regain my nationality when I come back again?

It depends if u go to the other to stay and become a sitizen of that country.

I wish I still had a copy of my late husbands resume I would post a copy of it here which explains in great deal what knowledge he had.

People that he did work for called him the 'Whiz Kid' cause there were too many computer programers who couldn't do what what he did.

Ccincy...yes a lot of the older generation knew a considerable bit about computers. I used to dabble in machine code for the ZX Spectrum to enable my cousins to cheat in games by changing the parameters from 3 lives to 300 or the amount of starting gold.
Although not trained but plenty of forums and using packets over the internet enabled me to keep up to date with new hacks. I have also made computers from scratch inserting all the necessary hardware then installing the software...so yes your hubby was indeed probably a "Whizz Kid".

The Whiz kid part in regards to my hubby was mainly a inside joke anyway.
I don't have any idea what they refer to them now.

My hubby made a good living regardless.

2girlsnocup: While learning that career, did you forget how to write in English, or are you just lazy?

u = You

u r = You're

It's not difficult. At least try and pretend you're not a 13 year old.

mollybaby: My sister-in - law has dual citizenship since she married my brother.

She would never ever consider herself Irish, as she is not. She loves and is proud of her own country and nationality.

She just got the Irish passport as it is easier to travel around the EU with it.

Everyone wants me to get British passports for me and my kids. I refuse.

Unfortunately my dear, I do not have to prove myself to anyone, but myself and my kids. I am me !!! (That includes getting approval from just anybody. I do things my way, and am accepted for it in SA). I am different than ur ordinary run of the mill person (sheep)

2girlsnocup: Ah, you're happy to write like a moron. Just hope you write code a lot better.

Actually, most software people I know are quite fastidious about their writing, as if they can't write well, then a simple error could mess up a lot.

OK, carry on.

Well then my late hubby must have been a moron too cause he was fussy when it came to writing programs for his computer customers but didn't care how he wrote otherwise.giggle

In my work I am a perfectionist, and when I write emails, only sometimes a u or r slips in, but I am accepted as is. I am seen as 1 of the best in my field.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't lazy enough to use text speak constantly. That's the difference.

He could had I didn't have excess to his cell phone.

I don't see what the big fuss is all about anyway which way someone chooses to type.

It just seems like a lot of fuss for nothing. The world is obviously going downhill and someone is more concerned about text speak.Too funny.

grin
