I had long lasting & happy relationships.
I do notice as I get older and the guys I'm running into, that there are people who can't hold down a relationship and some who simply don't want to. Not everyone has social skills which makes a long-term interaction possible - thats often incl. their dealings (or non-dealings) with family and being unable to have genuine friends.

Most worked their way into everything from start to finish with each relationship. The smoke clears sooner or later.
I suppose that it would make sense; that starting over would entail the same type of work and commitment, but smarter.
What are you looking for other than the person you want to be with? It has to start with each other first, then go from there. Most are aware of obvious pitfalls. I hope, even with themselves enough to know the difference. Crap!!!

I don't get it if people constantly have bad relationships. People should be capable of learning. What I noticed is that people are messed up by their families etc. and not even so much relationships, they aren't able to even go there.
Some people are better off alone. I do know people who want kids and have them - and don't give a damn about what the partner wants. The kids are growing up in an environment where the parents despise each other.
Not giving a damn about anyone else but themselves is what I notice a lot - I mean both genders there. This is not how any relationship can work.
