I think you can hide it for 24 hours.
Maybe you can delete it, then launch it again
With same name (why would you bother ? )
I think all the friends etc. Would be deleted too.

I just tried it. Deleted this profile last November. The site came up in conversation today and I couldnt resist having a look. It said that profile had been deactivated and did I want to reactivate it.
