I first came here last November. So far I met a nice Woman from Vienna Austria which is what I was looking for as a e-mail pal. Then I found new music that I like on the post what your listening to threads like Ellie Goulding, Indilla, Connie Talbot, Lenon and Maisy, just to name a few. I love classical music and am able to post my favorites on the Classical Music Group. I lost my Father a couple of months ago and find the Forum posts very funny and therapeutic. Also having fun posting South Park song videos and still haven't been kicked out. Finding lots of friends on the Forums as well. Also learned about the bad things in the Koran on the forums and found some websites that point out what books they are in and what chapters and verses that say things like the Jihads and other bad things.

Interesting views you shared...thank you. Yeah, I suppose the question if this site is a waste of time can only be answered in the context as to why a person joined the site in the first place. I joined this site as I moved to a very small rural town. While I was based in Gauteng, there wasn't time or the need to join a site like this. I had a diverse group of friends (different religions, race and cultural backgrounds), we accompanied one another to important events, from funerals to weddings... hence, this satisfied my need for cross 'boundary' learning experiences... I was part of a book club and every Wednesday we would have gone to a life performance close by...whether classical performance or art exhibition... This was a full filling life for me as it was tangible ... between work and sport, there wasn't much time left for on line boogie
This site in terms of functionality, is awesome...but I was spoiled with an environment with friends I could touch, go with and even smack if it was necessary.
