Loftus hall on the hook peninsula is now open to the public ,it's steeped with history ,mystery and an American professional team consisting of three men have investigated there and paranormal activity experienced on cameras, they have the latest technology ,EMF

I've always been fascinated with the history of loftus hall and the mystery that goes with it.

Has anyone visited it,? I'm hoping to visit and do the night tour,

Yes it was once owned by Redmond ,,fell into the hands of Cromwell ,later the loftus family came to own it ,

The current owner Dosnt like anyone to venture upstairs especially the tapestry room where Anne the young woman had been kept locked up after she fell pregnant for this mysterious stranger that called to the hall one stormy night,

Skelington remains that if a young baby infant were found in a wall of the house.

A young man who had been visiting the hall on the day tour took a pic outside of the front if the hall,

Captured in his camera is a slim young lady looking out ,her head directed to the right,

The visitors were walking in opposite direction,

An ghostly figure of an old woman is also captured to the right of the young woman,

The pic has gained worldwide attention,

Google loftus hall and ghost adventure s or ghost sightings,

It's fascinating,

Even without the haunting side of things the hall is an interesting visit ,it has an unique Italian staircase ,handmade, only three of them in the world,,

One in the Vatican,,one that is in the bottom of the sea titanic and one in loftus hall in immaculate condition,

The tiles on the floors were made by stone masons,

The. Desighn is said to hold secret symbols or else it is buried underneath,

The stone masons were reported to have had their hands chopped off so they couldn't make one the same again,

Anne was reported to have gone insane after she sighted her lover the stranger to have hoofed feet one night while he was playing cards ,he then shot up through the roof in a ball of fire,

Now whether this is to believed or not ,

Or maybe with Anne falling pregnant out of wedlock they being gentry might of just kept her locked up and made up this story out of the shame they felt,

There has been however paranormal activity upstairs in particular when the team investigated,

By an Irish team and three professional men from America ,,3 strong looking guys ,very headstrong too that have investigated lots of places in America and said nothing compares to loftus hall,it's just steeped deep with stories, history ,legend,,what they experience would make one very open minded indeed even the sceptics ,

I had the privilege of visiting the hall three years ago with my friend,

The caretaker at the time allowed us to look around the grounds after I told him we were very interested in the place and loved it down there and hooklighthouse too one of the oldest in the world built by strongbows son inlaw ,William Marshall and Irish monks helped him and his men build it too,

Anyway the caretaker who live just across the road went and my friend noticed the front door to the side of the house was open ,,he went inside and of course I did too to have a peep as I only had seen the hall from outside its gates as no one was allowed in the grounds even,

It must of been the servants quarters I think it being at the side of the hall,

My friend went out a door of this small room of whete we had stepped in and up the stairs,,

I told him not to go up there ,,it's dark I said ,

I was just taking in the surroundings of a lovely old fireplace and small table covered with dust and an ol empty bottle of vodka and candle,of course the home must of had intruders and unwanted guests inside,

I was just admiring the beautiful tiles and most unusual desighn on them what looked like the way a rose has layers inside,

But the tiles didnt look like a rose just drew my eye in,

Just then the caretaker came through the door and shouted , what are you doing in here,

My friend had come back down at this time ,he didnt venture any more upstairs ,just as well, lol,

I'm really sorry I said ,how did you's get in ,

My friend told him the door was open when he went up to it ,,the caretaker told us he had locked it and had the key with him,

Anyway he calmed down after that and we stepped into the sunshine while he was chatting away ,

I looked up at the window s upstairs and imagined poor Anne staring out sad,

I think they should plant flowers around here I said to the man,

Wild ones maybe,

I looked at the old stone building outside that had been for horse coaches,

Not everyone's cup of tea witty to visit thete ,

But I just love feathered in sea,,the old hooklitehouse house and the legend of loftus hall,

I have visited that part of Wexford, but never been to Loftus Hall.

Barberstown Castle in Kildare has a similar story, with a haunted room, where apparently there have been sightings of something, photographs of orbs have been taken in the room, and there is a constant feeling of cold, even in hot weather.

During some work on the castle, the staff and owner who are all convinced there is something there, allowed me spend some time in the room, and I have to say it was very cold in comparison to the rest of the castle, even on a day like today, despite the presence of a large window allowing sunlight to enter.

I examined the room, the attic above, the walls, internally and externally, and every part of the room, under the bed and in the wardrobes, and there here were no structural reasons for the drop in temperature. dunno
