I'm thinking of going into business and. Silaging my grass in the garden I've lots of it,
I'd like to prepac it and sell it locally,

stanley8m: Moc, my point is farmers seem to be able to do whatever they want, with the knowledge there will be no Garda intervention, whereas, other protesters are frequently assaulted, and denied the right to protest by the forces of law and order. Wealth and power seem to offer a certain degree of immunity.
well you see farmers are perceived as being hard working good people..good farming people that kind of thinking and to a certain extent its true but like you said its no excuse for thinking they can do what they like..alot of the garda grew up on farms themselves and have a lot of time for farmers..perhaps this is a reason why they go easy on them

Yes think most of us would agree that equal rights should apply to all. Ie protesting and alike that goes without saying so those at the top should take heed of that,
Just to add that there would be better relations then between farmers and non farmers,lol,
Where would this country be without the backbone of industrial workers,labourers ,
Farming is also what makes up this island of Ireland and it brings in most of the money into our country through exports,
The powers that be know this and use that power to bully tactics,
If we're a country that relied heavily on industrial ,oil vial whatever the big power would lie there too,

surely not but this is Ireland remember everybody knows each other in some way..they all look after each other..suppose its just human nature
