It is obviously why some people only blog - they can't take any opinions that differ to theirs and when they look too stupid, they just delete the whole blog.

I always look stupid and I never deleted a blog in my life
pedalguy59: Both invite postings but are self moderated in two different ways. The thread has a ridiculous "Hide" option, which everyone looks at. At least you can see differences of opinion, regardless if the OP wants it or not. The Blog removes the different opinion completely, leaving an entire Blog with people that completely agree with the OP. How wonderful is that? Any ideas as to why it is set up that way?
A few years back the blogs was not as it is today. It was riddled with controversy making the forums seem like the milder of the two to join in with. I believe they might have felt the views were adding to the controversy in there. The more wilder the blog got the more the views. Same thing actually happens here in the forums. But not to the point of the way the blogs got. I like both blogs and forum. Some of the people I like more than others. But to think that the people in the blogs could not make it here in the forums is funny. Their interest just lies in different areas. I don't know if this has helped answer your question at all. Yet that is my idea of why
