That does sound strange and I'm not sure why that is for you, but I wish you all of the best... Now for me ? Yes, local women, too damn local, too close for comfort. That's why my friends are in Canada.

I went to a school like that.
Everybody new everybody else by first, and last name and more often than not by highschool which house you lived in.
If you didn't start school in the district you were the new kid for years and if you didn't show up until the sixth grade or after you graduated years later still the new kid.

Not too many. Quite a few in Ireland because this is an international site filled with gangsters and tax evaders, or ex-pats as we neutrally refer to them.
