Been looking on line for some time. Very selective whom I meet, after lots of emails and perhaps some videoskype action. Several women seem to have gotten quite attached before meeting, and some afterwards. Early on in the process I developed fairly strong feelings for one German lady (love speaking and hearing the language), and we met, but I backed out. It really was helpful and encouraging to know that I'm still capable of these strong feelings, even if one must keep one's wits in check whenever they arise. Alas, the ladies with feelings for me were pretty flaky in important ways. There's good flaky, and not so good flaky. Onward, through the fog.

I think you can develop strong feelings for somebody you've met online, chatted to on Skype, etc.
This might be one degree of 'love'.
Then when you meet, have chemistry, have a physical relationship, get to know each other better, you move on to a different level of 'love'.
And so on...

That is so true. One can write words that are their true thoughts and are totally living that moment. One must always be honest when it comes to heart moments or they will die regretful and alone.

Absolutely..... you can meet scammers in the pub or even through friends. The Internet is the tool that lets people connect. You have to meet eventually though and better if your both within close distance. Keep your eyes open and give it time to get to know each other properly after you meet. It happened for me. and I hope it can again.
