seanc: How to get over the death of a parent, any advice out there.
Loss of a parent we never get over with it, we carry the pain, we will miss them throughout our life, so many souvenirs keep on coming back,, but with the time, pain & crying are less intense.
Console ourselves that they're through with the unrestlessness of the living,, they are in rest, finally.
I foud it damm hard , to be honest. having no shoulder to cry on...lost dad/mom/brother. was on my own. a hollow feeling inside.....untill a young woman came into my life a few months ago...made me feel alive again human again....yes i have my moments...because the love you feel nevers dies...

Seanc It is very difficult for anyone to lose a beloved one.No person can utter the words "I know how you feel",as we all go through different ways of handling a loss. Just remember the parent you lost in all the wonderful times spent together, the laughter, the love and the endless appreciation. I for one believe that they are watching over us and want us to be happy and not sad.I also go out at night and sit on my own staring at the stars, and to make me feel the warm feeling of love ,I say to myself ,one of the stars shining brightly is my parent sending me light. Seanc Go in peace,Go in light and may your pain and heartache subside to inner comfort that you had the best parent in the world

Seanc Sorry to hog your page, but have to mention,my beautiful son was murdered recently and I have been devastated.I can still smell his aftershave, hear his laughter, and just say to myself that I am grateful for the time I had him,and that his memory will live within me and that will never die

You never get over the death of a loved one.. You just learn to live with it, with the love & support of family & friends. Still miss "my old" man after so many years, the greatest man I ever met.

Hi candy, thanks for your wonderful advice, am so sorry to hear about the death of your son, will pray for you, am sure it must be a very different feeling when a child dies as compared to a parent
They were there from when you were born and they guided you all of your life and no matter where they are, you will hear their words whenever you need to. That will never change.
