I've had Hypoglycemia for years. I have to watch my diet to control it. I am a vegetarian and I don't eat processed food, junk food or sweets. I have to eat every five hours or I start to get sick.
If I wait longer than that or skip a meal, I get light headed, dizzy, confused, tired, shaky, sweaty, sick to my stomach and weak. If I ignore these symptoms, I eventually pass out. I usually wake up when I hit the floor. I drink a glass of orange juice to bring my blood sugar up. Then, I eat a meal that has protein and carbs in it, such as beans and rice.
