Self-esteem and a sense of self-esteem are things I work on daily. For some, it comes naturally, others have to work on it.

Agreed.
I feel it makes a huge difference the type of pple who surrounded a person when growing up, the types of pple one hung out with etc, what kinds of things one was told or heard constantly as well.
If one hears the same negative things about oneself growing up, then it becomes like a broken record in your head, if that's all one hears, then it becomes the truth in your mind.
Must erase those records, and start over with all positive thoughts!

Lillie, that is absolutely true. It is a struggle to turn off negative thoughts you have grown up with.

Just have to accept that you're human.. Make mistakes (like anyone) are not perfect (no one is) .. Then your confidence will Grow
