In response to: I'm honestly interested in how Irish Republicans and Irish people feel about the division of Ireland and the creation of the 26 state Irish Republic which did not include the North of Ireland.

Do people in the Republic feel it was justified to create a state with out the North of Ireland, and do Republicans and other's in the North not feel abandoned by the creation of the Irish Republic which did not include them.
thumbs up

Sir_T: Ok, so name the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the 32 counties

Seriously dude I just established that someone in the 6 counties who is born from a British citizen can still get a Republic of Ireland Citizen ship and therefore an Irish passport. They just dong have any "island of ireland" stuff on the Passport. You were wrong about that detail. Accept it and move on with your life.

Here's a new discovery for T ,open up your Passport and have a look at it,you will see a map of Ireland on it.The Whole of Ireland not just a part of it.Every last inch of it.

If its not on yours its certainly on mine, think you might need to renew your Irish passport.

Welcome to Ireland.

When arguing with Phoenix all logic goes out the window and I say things I don't actually believe, we have this history together, he and me. Please bear that in mind when reading my posts. What I say to Witty represents my real position.

Dude, I don't need to renew my passport, considering I used it to get on a plane 3 weeks ago.

And there I see the map, right beside the "Island of Ireland" bit you also claimed was on it. Actually, on every page there is the Harp of Carolan. (Who?) There's no map or image of Ireland at all.

I think I'm being trolled...

Jaymack: That really was not what you where saying at all Snowlynx, and by saying what you did say you excluded Irish People from being Irish in the North,to try and get at Phoenix.

I am not prejudiced in any shape or form. I don't like west Brits and I have never hidden the fact. If anyone finds any of my posts offensive. Thats their problem and not mine. I don't set out to offend, I just don't "do" PC talk. Never have and never will...

I have explained here and provided links to podcasts among others things here to prove to people that while they may call the 26 county state a Republic, the cold, hard facts are is, it is anything but....

You're not prejudiced but you're so stupid you support terrorism and think that anyone who disagrees with you is a traitor.

That's a redesign of the Irish passport that's only been in circulation since November of 2013. Odds are most people don't have that one, I certainly don't. AND its already been replaced by a newer passport card so that's no longer the current Irish passport design in any case.

AND that map does not show political borders either. The map is to show tourist locations such as the cliffs of Moher and other such things. Which since you can get one if you are born in Northern Ireland even if you were born from a British Citizen, kinda makes sense.

Thanks for showing it to me though, I hadn't seen it before. My Passport looks like this, an image from 2011

Likewise you can get a British Passport if your from Ireland and your Mother/Father is English.
