Wear your poppy with pride? (74)

WittyandWise: Welcome me in to my own country!

It's not your own country, it's a different state. Unity is far from assured even if the north's majority voted for it, we could never pump in the type of money to you that Westminister does.

I know you are Irish witty. I was talking about the potential union of our states. I was saying that if that happens I would extend a welcome. Could anyone object to that? I think you were mad at some of the things I said earlier in the thread and just wanted to have a go at me, is that it?

No of course not, I reacted and took your wording personal, as in "welcome them". I reacted rather than taking time to clarify what you meant. My apologies for any offence caused.

I think you were mad at some of the things I said earlier in the thread and just wanted to have a go at me, is that it?

No Snowy I didn't just want to have a go at you, as I said above I took the 'welcome them' personally and condescending. I realise now that was of course not your intention.
Just for the record I respond to the written word and your posts on N.I. are not the only ones that piss me off sometimes, others piss me off just as much or more as your good friend Belfast boy would tell you. grin
