robplum: Germany to send Tornado jets to back France in Syria
Meanwhile, as part of the U.S.-led coalition of 60 countries, Saudi Arabia has also been involved with the international effort against ISIS since September 2014. Since then, it has deployed just four F-15 fighter jets and an unspecified number of Typhoon combat jets against ISIS.
Australia is playing a direct role supporting the intensified French airstrikes against the Islamic State terrorist group in Iraq and Syria. The countries which received threats from ISIS along with Mexico are: Australia, Bahrain, Albania, Denmark, Belgium, China, Croatia, Austria, Egypt, Czech Republic, Greece, Canada, Estonia, France, Finland, Iraq, Jordan, Germany, Ireland, Hungary, Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, Lebanon, Kosovo, South Korea, Kuwait, Israel, Iran, Italy, Japan, Qatar, Luxembourg, Sweden, Russia, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Slovakia, Switzerland, Lithuania, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Taiwan, U.S., U.K. United Arab Emirates, Spain, Turkey, Oman, Ukraine, Tunisia, Serbia, Slovenia, Poland, Portugal, Morocco, Moldova, and Malta.
That means,1/3 of the UN countries are under ISIS threats. And the world countries allowing those Fanatics to theaten the entire planet. Great, just Great. Instead of flattening ISIS out, once and for all,and finish with them, we do say to them.- ""we'll finish you in our own time"",as we have to use,the remaining stock, of the Arms manufactories.
I listened to video of Putin having a chat with King of Jordan, Putin was saying prior to shooting the plane down the Russians were listening to Turkey discussing there intention to shoot with members of NATO but no warning was given or received by the Russians from Turkey.
Given Turkey earlier had bombed Kurd's and the two Russian jets (only one shot down) were bombing terrorists even if cousins of Turks it was an act of stupidity that NATO should shoulder some responsibility for
As one of Russia's largest customers when it comes to energy -- Turkey imports 55 percent of its natural gas from Russia and 30 percent of its oil – any damage to these infrastructure deals could be significant, according to one Turkish academic.

I was about to give you thumb up but then read the last sentence again, seems like you are placing blame on Europe again/the west.
NATO and the west in general should be ashamed of supporting what Turkey did, we should be ashamed of letting ISIS what they have been doing, we should be ashamed of having an ally like Saudi - the country that does not give a damn about human life and human rights! The country that is even in charge of the UN human rights committee or commission????!!!!! Shame on our politicians and shame on us for not stopping these fools!
chris27292729: Normally works "an eye for an eye",if they don't want a situation, to blow out of proportion. Which means, the Russian will bring a Turkish military jet down.
I think everyone misses the real game here.
I'll make an effort to explain it...
Here's a map at the start of 2015. It's fairly accurate. Look at the Yellow Kurdish areas, West, Centre (remember Kobani) and East.
Here's a recent Map (25th Novemberm it's updated everyday)
Now look at the Kurds? They have pushed ISIS and the so called "moderates" back to the Banks of the Euphrates. This makes the Turks mad. Very mad. And IS obviously. All the oil flowing to sultan's son Bilal Erdogan (who btw was photographed with an ISIS member a while back) is at risk of being completely cut off, and all of the reinforcements.
^^ Look where it is? Right where the Kurds are poised to advance. So why need for a safe zone if the Kurds are pushing their way across anyway? They are fighting ISIS right? And this is where the State Department, starts losing it's face aswell.
Now back to the Russians. Before the Su-24 downing, the Russians didn't have the Diplomatic Capital to start shooting back at Turkish air incursions of any nature..
Turkey is going to have a hard time NOW pushing their Jets into Syrian airspace after the shoot down. The Russians earned the Diplomatic capital to shoot down anything which they say threatens their aircraft. That can be anything coming across the border to attack them OR the Kurds. Which allows the Kurds free Reign now to join up from the Rojava Westwards
Anyway, the point was, that the Russians wanted the Turks to over react and capitalise on it. Sultan took the bait. I can't see any other explanation of it.
Your ignorance about Greek and Turkey's dog fights, has been noted. Dog fights between Greece and Turkey practically every day. So Greece does intervene, and you obviously don't know the reasons, for the dog fights. Greece's Sea and Air national territory, has been drawn according to internationa rules and regulation.- It is Turkey, disputing Greece's national Sea and Air space territory. Greece has called Turkey to go to international Court of Justice to solve the dispute, but Turkey refuse. They have been dog fights with loses between the 2 countries, in the past, and at least 500 dog fights in 2015 so far. The only thing stopping them in a full scale territorial war is, the 2 are NATO countries.

You may be right Mad. In any case I just hope some of our politicians still have some brain left in their head and will not let Turkey drag us along on their way to the demise.

The other explanation is. Sultan didn't liked Russia bombarding his ethnic cousins,Syrian Turkmen, who fighting against Assad, as Sultan's aim is, to topple Assad, and support, any Turkish minority living next to Turkish borders. In other words revival of the Ottoman empire, and he isn't shy, to admit it.

Could be tho Syria has been always at war with Israel, the main cause being the illegal Zionist theft/occupation of the Golan heights . Liwa Iskenderun in the northwest of Syria, now part of the Hatay province, was annexed (stolen) by Turkey from Syria in 1938. The Turkish military expelled the native Alawite and Armenian peoples living there and proceeded to import Turkish loyalists. The approximate crash location was within Syrian territory; however, Turkey is insisting that it was Turkish airspace, how is that? The truth is that the downing of the Russian jet was entirely a set-up from the beginning. It was an ambush reminiscent of the Israeli ambush against the Soviet Air Force in the 1967 Arab-Israeli conflict. It was a pre-planned attack on Russia in order to protect the terrorists that Turkey supports.

Czech-based freelance journalist and analyst Martin Berger writes in his article for New Eastern Outlook.
Berger notes that Turkey's protégés, much-talked-about "defenseless" Turkomans, not only killed the Russian pilot as he descended, but also blasted a Russian helicopter (with a US-made TOW missile) that was sent to rescue the Su-24 crew.
Dozens in Greece, Bulgaria denounce Turkey & NATO in solidarity marches with Russia
