Just heard on the news that the State has won it's appeal in the Oscar Pistorius case....his conviction has now been changed from culpable homocide to murder....just goes to show that after such a very long court case with a massive amount of evidence put forward it was possible for a judge to come to the wrong verdict....I wonder how often judges get it wrong and there isn't any appeal to ensure that proper justice is handed out?....

because he was a millionaire and famous the first just went light on him money talks like.... if that was the average joe he'd be locked up for life...
Excellent, and all credit to the legal system in South Africa who had the backbone to acknowledge that the original court had failed in there duty. Well done South Africa.

...of course Pedro....money always talks....he'll still probably only spend 8 or 10 year's in jail....

...It's great alright....must be a very difficult decision for judges to come to when they have to admit that one of their contemporaries had got it wrong....

Does that mean that he will be shot as he would have been had he been my Daughter?
Disgusting man. I feel for the poor dead Girls family.
It was good that the Courts there had the guts to review the sentence and change it to murder.
The problem now is that being so wealthy, while he is inside he will probably still be able to write a book about it using a ghost writer on his behalf and eventually earn money from it.
Does that mean that he will be shot as he would have been had he been my Daughter?
....I think that is what all parents would have felt like doing!....what a nightmare for them or any family who has to endure something as horrendous as a family member being murdered....

Its me that would be in prison for murder if it happened to one of my family.

South Africa lives and breathes fantasy, lies and corruption and it's one of the most incompetent places in the world. It should never have required a second go in order to convict Pistorius of murder.

....no it should not have required a second go especially in a case where every possible minute detail seemed to have been dissected over and over again and yet they could not arrive at a proper verdict in the first instance....
In S/A they do not have a jury system. The presiding judge made the decision, and in doing so, did not base her decision on the facts. Fair credit to the S/A legal system she is being investigated.

I haven't seen anything about her being investigated? Where did you see that, Trouble?

Hello nuisance! Do you still want my body? I read it on this herdy girdy this morning. When I say investigated, I do not mean for criminal purposes but as to how she came to her decision. I suppose they will have to look at her ability to try such cases. It is only fair

Of course I do...what a question!?
I don't think it's a formal investigation, just social media backlash but she'll be under pressure, for sure

That's the problem with the press, they will look at all angles, usually the ones that don't exist! I had trouble with them years ago. The wind blew my kilt up, I did not lift it up in the supermarket like they claimed!
