OgGoDeogalway, Galway Ireland19 Threads 248 PostsJust heard on the news that the State has won it's appeal in the Oscar Pistorius case....his conviction has now been changed from culpable homocide to murder....just goes to show that after such a very long court case with a massive amount of evidence put forward it was possible for a judge to come to the wrong verdict....I wonder how often judges get it wrong and there isn't any appeal to ensure that proper justice is handed out?....

I feel for the poor dead Girls family.
It was good that the Courts there had the guts to review the sentence and change it to murder.
The problem now is that being so wealthy, while he is inside he will probably still be able to write a book about it using a ghost writer on his behalf and eventually earn money from it.

South Africa lives and breathes fantasy, lies and corruption and it's one of the most incompetent places in the world. It should never have required a second go in order to convict Pistorius of murder.

In S/A they do not have a jury system. The presiding judge made the decision, and in doing so, did not base her decision on the facts.
