I just met this girl in here. Everything was good, she really wanted me to fly to the UK, and be with her at Christmas time. After I got the tickets, she disappeared.
Could this be a new scam from the Airline companies?

You just met her and you bought her plane tickets.
Contact the airline and see if you can get your money back but I doubt if you can.
The things that desperate people will do.

...maybe she tought you wouldn't buy the tickets &when u did...probably a bit much for her...explain who u are etc....but jasus i wouldn't buy a ticket for mths. ..after we talked got to no each other better maybe that's just me. ...best of luck

After only knowing her through contact on the net and buying airline tickets within the first week has scared her off. No one stands to gain by your decision to purchase the tickets so it is your impetuousness that frightened her and I for one don't blame her. If anyone appeared to be a scammer it was you (I don't think you are but your actions speak loud and clear). You may want to take more time like has already been suggested and use a little more discretion in your decisions. Good luck.

Anyway, think you did the right thing. Soooo many people mail and mail, wait and wait, until forever. If you think you like someone in my opinion the best thing to do is meet them. And you tried... good for you!
