Let's look back to the time when you hoped Santa Claus would bring you the gift that you always wanted.
I was about 10 years old and I wanted a pretty crinoline.
A crinoline is a stiffened or structured petticoat designed to hold out a skirt. It was popular at various times since the mid-19th century. Originally, it was made of horsehair and cotton or linen but that scratched our legs so manufacturers changed it to softer fabrics.
I opened the box Christmas morning and there it was. There were more gifts to open but I was happy that I got the most important thing that I asked Santa to bring me.
Please share your memories and a picture (if possible) of favorite gifts you received for Christmas and Chanukah. BTW, Jewish people also celebrate their holiday with gifts during the 8 days of Chanukah.
I remember wearing a crinoline under my Easter dress back in the day. They were darn itchy alright.
An easy bake oven is just one of many gifts I begged the mall Santa to bring me for Christmas. I did end up getting one.
Hey Trigs
My daughter wanted an Easy Bake Oven. Santa brought her the oven and stove It was that awful green that was popular in the 70's. Of course that was the year she also got the tiny table and chairs that we had tea parties with mommy, daddy and dolls

Ah, the good old days eh? fond memories that will remain with us and is better than any gift Santa could ever bring.
I remember receiving something like this for Christmas when I was around 5 or 6 yrs of age. I thought I had an old black and white photo of it but couldn't find one but this stock photo kinda resembles what I got.
The double sink had a little tank in the back where I could put water in the sinks and actually wash my toy dishes.
