tomcatwarne: The Turkish Prime Minister has demanded, and will probably get 6 billions Euros to stop the flow of migrants , from Turkey to Europe.

I wonder how much of this money will disappear into politicians pockets.........

Turkey will not do a damn thing to stop them. roll eyes

Yes, little Macedonia, not even a member state, is defending EU from its member state Greece laugh

It is horrible what costs have Merkel and the other equally stupid EU politicians incurred to the poor countries that happen to be on immigrants' way to the rich West, or maybe I should say: naive, blind, illogical west that lost its survival instincts? dunno

Outrageous!!!!!

While UK and Europe as a whole are importing young, healthy men whose identity no one can be sure of, UK is deporting a 92-year old woman to South Africa where she has no relatives, no one to care for her. The officials say: once she gets there, she can go to the Red Cross and ask for help!!!! Her only relative, her daughter lives in the UK.

It is interesting the officials should say this:

"the court of appeal was rejected by the upper tribunal in October 2015. In its reasons for the decision, it said that Cothill had “obtained entry to the United Kingdom by deception, and that she and her daughter arranged their affairs with the deliberate intention of making her removal difficult.”

Deception??? What about those young healthy men from Africa and ME tat "lost" their passports on purpose or bought fake Syrian ones? What about those immigrants from the same region that committ crime in Europe and are then not deported because they could be imprisoned in their country of origin???? And the 92-year old woman will most certinaly die when she gets back, but who cares she she does not follow a certain priviledged religion and does not have the PC skin color

You really should keep up with the news. The decision to deport her has been rescinded and she will remain in the UK

Capricorn143: I would say thank you for the good news, but because of your arrogant tone - forget it!

Arrogant tone is yours,

One man, perhaps in his late 40s, cannot help his four children. He stands at the train doorway, leaning on crutches and staring down at the gap between the last train step and the ground below. He is wearing sandals and thin socks although the temperature outside is well below freezing.

His wife stands next to him and looks on mutely. She is carrying her youngest daughter, who is two and wrapped in a heavy blanket. The daughter is asleep and, from the mother's hand signals, a visitor understands that the little girl has a fever.
A young man and a visitor help the family's three older children down from the train. Then they pass the sleeping toddler to the oldest daughter, who looks perhaps 10 or 12 years old. Next, a wheelchair gets passed down from the wife. Finally, she helps her husband down the two steps. The visitor and the young man help him swing from the last step down to the ground.

Embarrassed, the man gives a weak smile of thanks. Through a few words in English and a lot of hand signals he explains that he is from Syria and was shot in the back four months ago. “Chermany,” says his wife. “Doctor.”

Then she hands him the toddler and begins to push the wheelchair over the frozen gravel, across a street, into the snow-covered grounds of the border crossing. UNHCR volunteers wearing light blue vests usher them into tents where they must wait for their turn to cross into Austria.
Dash to get in line
Translators bark instructions through bullhorns, telling the migrants where they are; that they can only cross in groups of 100; that they can only request asylum in Germany or Austria. That soon those who wish can eat lunch in a nearby tent.
Three extension cords dangle down from the top of the entrance, and most of the men race over to charge their phone batteries. Mothers use the time to change diapers or breastfeed their babies. Others grab heavy gray blankets and lie on army cots, bored.

Flüchtlinge Slowenien
The chance to recharge phone batteries is eagerly taken
Nearly all of them wear new snowboots, down jackets, hats, mittens and scarves. Gifts from UN camps, they say. Some from Greece, others picked up in Croatia. They clearly are the most prized possessions they own.

In less than an hour, the bullhorns announce that the first group of 100 people can cross, and there is a mad dash to line up. The Syrian woman counts the kids around her and begins to push her husband in the wheelchair. At first, the line appears orderly, but quickly it turns to chaos, as 500 people attempt to be the first group to cross.

A father in a black jacket yells out for a lost child. Panicked, he leaves his wife and son in line to look for the missing girl. A newborn screams. The police try to count as people pass through a metal barrier, but soon, the shoving is so great the barrier begins to teeter. One officer loses his temper and raises his baton. Another yells out, “No push!” An interpreter comes on the bullhorn again, begging for order. The father comes back carrying a sniffling girl in a bright pink snowsuit whose head is buried in her father's shoulder.

The police see the Syrian family and the wheelchair on the edge of the crowd. They erect the barrier so no one else can pass until the woman can push her husband to the front. She bobs her head in thanks.
As they wait to enter Austria, snow blankets the fevered child and the wounded man. But the family somehow continues to smile.

Excuse me? As far as I know "you should....." in English is when you reproach someone, or when you think they do not know what they are doing! I would have thanked her for the more recent info, if she had just pointed to it. I would have admitted my mistake as I got the link and did not think there could be a newer info - I do not browse topics on purpose, not do I read the guradian regularly!

As for the rest of your post - I really do not see the relevance. And FYI: all immigrants are given jackets, boots etc. upon entry, what they do is they throw away these things they got in the previous country, the same is with the jackets and boots they get form the SLovenians - when they enter Austria they throw these things away - and I know that because I know policemen and some military that have been working on the border - so do not tell me the what the media say, I know it first hand.
PLus, those that are returned by the Austrians claim they were scorned and mistreated by the Austrians - they I bet they do the same when they are returned from Slovenia to Croatia - how much is the truth and how mnuch is lies, well, that is another matter.

p.s. Shortened your text as it was not possible to post mine.

WTH??? Anti Britain? Me? No way. The point is that we (and yes, even my poor country gives something) should not give them the aid - not to Africa, because it obviously does nothing to help them if concrete results are not expected and demanded, or to Turkey - as Erdogan and his co. will put it into their pockets.

If I have posted a documentary about what was done to the Germans, it does not make me anti Britain - we know what the Germans did, but we do not know that the war makes everyone's hands dirty.

Dragos1: You do have a tendency to stir up things with certain individuals. I remember the first time I saw it when you expected someone to buddy up and when they stood their ground you just seemed to go from one side of an issue to the other. Even when I had tried to defend you several months ago you suddenly flipped that one around as well.
I believe this "victim" roll you use to get a thread locked if you don't get your way.

Amen to that angel
