Hey all!

I might not spend a lot of time here since I'm not a forum guy, but advices are always nice.

So, I got in contact with some people here and one person suggested we exchange gifts - only after like 2 quick emails. Isn't that somewhat weird?

Should I have reasons to suspect there is something fishy going on? I'd like to think it's a nice gesture, but one might need to be cautious these days.

What do you think?

If you're serious and this isn't just a nonsense thread, report them to administration. More then likely this is a scammer.

Hi I definitely suggest you to be wise and cautious about online relationships and take time to read their profiles. One thing is that we can commit mistakes when typing since for some of us this is our second or third language (English)and how not to have mistakes if natives have them very often. The next thing to do is analyze the way people type certain sentences. I´ve seen that nigerians, for example, commit similar mistakes in the way they type and speak just be alert about it!! Latinos like me have problems when we change the grammatical structure since Spanish is different, when we say the car red you say the red car, there you can see if the person is latin and because our sentences are longer than usually, lol can you tell? haha
About exchanging personal information mmmh... well I think you could create a Skype account to chat cam/cam face/face and see how people is. Scammers don't like cams because there you can see their real accent and how they are and because you can take pics of them if you catch them in something weird.
Fortunately not all the people is like that but once you chat here you develop some skills to identify who´s behind a profile or mail. Men and women type in a different way, just check it out and you will see. Am I too analytical? lol well I think I am haha...
Trust me I´ve reported many profiles because they post a pic where the person has dark eyes and in their profile description they say they're blue eyes, come on!! or they say theyre looking for a lady of 6´3" when they say they´re 5´8" things that may be irrelevant for others but for me turn the alert sign beep beep! hahaha
Well hope my advices work for you!
And don't miss love!! Life is full of many colors, just learn to see which are real and which are not!
Regards from México!!
Au revoir mon ami! :)

Do not send anything to anyone....there are so many scammers on here..and even if its for a small amount..they cant track you through mail..and get even more information from you...

i think its a nice thing to send gifts and things..but if people are not willing to "let a relationship grow" they are not worth your time...pushy people are usually up to no good...

i have only talked to a couple real people on here...the rest are ridiculous ....

Southwest Maybe You need to take a peaky at the Scam Warning topic and read about Scammers and what they do what they do.

If someone called you on your telephone and claimed that they were from your local police dept and claimed they were a police officer collecting money for a good cause would you fall for that?

What you are describing here in your thread topic is no different should had been Big Huge warning signs attached to them.

It says right on the sign in page ALL about this....do not respond to requests for money! Weapons-grade plutonium? That's different...that means love is in the works! wink rolling on the floor laughing

Unless you are TRULY internet and IT savvy (no Facebook and Twitter do not count)...and understand cyberspace....just delete and move on...I will hazard a guess that half of the requests you get from Switzerland are actually three proxies away from Bejing! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
