And I'd think by asking if you've posted an older photo may be a compliment just to break the ice. And I would expect a response like, 'Well thank you so much for the compliment, but no, just good genes from my mother'..

if they are close,or not, to your real age???

Put yourself in his shoes. If he had/has (you don't know, you may not have found out) lied, how would you feel.
A lie is deceit, no matter how you justify it afterwards you have shown intent.
If you can lie about something like your age, what else can/are you lying about (or will in the future).

There may be men that would overlook this kind of action, but what kind of man would he be? Could you trust that he would be honest with you?

Have you corrected your profile to show your true age and any other important information? If not then you are still lying even though it's cost you a potential relationship.

Finally, it's a shame you did this to yourself, maybe he would have understood and forgiven if he hadn't "found out"; if you had come clean with the explanation. Sorry, but nothing here is going to help you undo the damage you have done to that relationship.
The only advice I could give is to give him time, see if he still wants to chat in a few days and take it from there. Pestering him will likely end in being blocked.

Bear in mind that any relationship you continue with him will be tainted. Maybe it's best to learn from your mistake, and move on in time.
