Lots of people go on about age and everyone wants to say how young they look, but where are the genuine compliments.
I am here on holiday and had an instance the other day. I wasn´t able to get on a train back to where I wanted to go, so I had to go to a travel agent to book a bus. Now then......here, when you travel on public transport you have to give your name, gender and age (not date of birth). So.......the agent was fortunate in securing me the last seat on the bus I wanted to catch and he proceeded to fill in the form....he only took my first name and filled the rest in himself and when I looked at the ticket........he had put AGE 41.............howzat for a compliment!!!!!

Contact him,and invite him out for a drink, next time you are in the area.
Here´s another one..............I was at home in Scotland for a holiday last year and a neighbour of my cousin happened to meet us in the forest having a stroll. We were talking about a reunion of local school they had convened and the lady asked me if I had been in her school year, but I said no.....I didn´t even know her. HOWEVER, my cousin and I walked on and I asked what year she was in and it was 10 years after me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya Hoolet Feels pretty darn good doesn't it? If only there was more of this instead of criticizing in the world. It doesn't take much to say something kind to another but for some reason, there are people who have a lot of trouble with it.

Exactly! My sentiments also! It does not cost you anything to be kind and nice to other people. I am the type of person who strikes up conversations with people in different situations, waiting in line at the grocery store or at a doctor's appointments.
Also a Scottish one - knocked on a door to drop off a mis-delivered parcel and the pre-teen who answered the door turned and shouted to his mum 'there's a lassie to see you'.
Lassie. I wanted to put him in my WILL.
I score big-time with little boys. I let 2 throw my dog's ball for a while in the park, about 10 minutes later they came panting up behind us with some wildflowers they'd picked for me. Aw!

I could write a book Hoolet. My career in healtcare has been all about treating others with dignity and respect and by doing this, the rewards were never ending and the compliments that accompanied the smiles of others is what kept it going. Twas more than enough for me.

Absolutely April. It really doesn't take much to make a world of difference to others and it does come back to you...usually ten fold
