I try to be guarded too. AND I like Vulcan's too "Today is a good day to die"... Right!? :D (I know that isn't the Vulcan saying ;) )

I am a little confused, Did you add them on another site or not? It seems like you didn't, but I guessed you had information that was public and they didn't like what they saw.
At some point, if a relationship is going to move on, you will have to get closer with a view to meet (or chat over Skype or something), it's unavoidable unless you are both happy to keep things on this site.

Either way, as you say "we live and learn".

Try not to let it get you too down, and good luck with the search.

So... what are you saying here?

Don't talk to anyone anymore because 1 person was mean to you?

Wake up and smell the cookies, everyone gossips about everyone here and in real life. Just move on.

I have long list of blockees grin its the nature of all sites paid or free.
If someone is truly interested skype or meet up quick solves lots of probs.
If you only after pen friends that is a different ball game.

Good luck for future thoughpeace

Well Ronnie, that's what the "block" button is for after all, otherwise it wouldn't be there! I've also had to block someone recently, after five weeks of correspondence both on this site, and after about 3 weeks on Skype and via email before he turned out to be a scammer.

It's not too hard to block them, is it. Skype has that button, and so does my email account. I think that, because this site is free, there are probably more scammers on here than on those that have to be paid for. We just have to be vigilant and not give out too much personal information. I would NEVER allow a contact on here access to my social media pages, because that gives them access to all of my friends.

I uncovered the scam when he wanted my address... allegedly to send me $2 million in cash!!!

Chin up Ronnie, don't give up, there are plenty of us genuine ones out there.
