If your girlfriend goes to Africa to do some research program for a year, helping people express their poverty through interpretative dance, and then when she returns and she has a baby bump. She swears black and blue its your baby and she hasnt been with anybody else, though when the baby is born its skin colour suggests otherwise, despite her protests that a distant relative by marriage is Chinese and that somehow explains things.
So I'm just wondering how you'd handle the situation. It hasnt happened to me yet, but I like to be prepared for these things. Thank you.

You love her and keep embracing her so hard your eyes squint.

She slipped up when she mentioned a Chinese relative. Everyone knows they´re not the same height or colour as Africans. Dress the baby up as a lamb and carry on as normal but blackmail her every so often to keep her in line.

It would suggest to me that your girlfriend takes her research very seriously, and doesn't rely on purely theoretical evidence, instead getting her hands dirty and going the applied route.

You're right to be prepared for this type of high risk eventualities. :)
